You can set the table on the veranda of your apartment with appetizers made from cheeses from the small local dairies (stracchini and various goat cheeses, aged and fresh pecorino, still-warm ricotta, etc.) and pair them with cured meats from the nearby BIO STEFANONI farm or grill a nice barbecue with meats purchased from our friend and neighbor Daniele. Do you love buffalo mozzarella? Then the Luisa dairy in Montefiascone is perfect for you... they are fresh daily, and if you ask Mrs. Luisa to show your curious children their buffaloes, she will be happy to oblige. White or red wines? You’ll be spoiled for choice; the Montefiascone social winery, with its display of local products and wines, will be able to advise you for the best.
One of the most appreciated local products is the extra virgin olive oil from Tuscia. The family who lives next to our farmhouse (Maria and Angelo) produces an oil of excellent quality that we buy every year. If you wish, you can buy it too, and the price is truly affordable.
